Drew’s Beacon for Blindness is a patient organization focusing on LCA-CRX blindness and we support the blind in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.  We have a two objectives:

A CURE FOR CRX BLINDNESS

We dream of a future without LCA-CRX blindness. One of our objectives is to fund research for a cure for the children and adults that are blind or visually impaired due to LCA-CRX degenerative retinal disease. We hope to connect families who are affected by LCA-CRX, share information on research, and to support funding-raising activities for the cure.  We can help shape the current and future treatment for LCA-CRX through a collective voice for LCA-CRX patients.

If you are family affected by LCA-CRX or if you want to support our cause, we are looking to add other families to our team.  Please see our Involvement page.

SUPPORT SCHOOLS AND OTHERS INSTITUTIONS THAT CARE FOR THE BLIND

Drew’s Beacon for Blindness is dedicated to support the needs of individuals who are blind and their families.  This will be accomplished via grants to schools and to other similar organizations in the localities in which we operate that provide services to the blind.  Although we hope to expand in the future to additional locations, we currently have a single location in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area.  As such, we currently will support organizations in the states on Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
